Vivid Vegies!

Today, everyone knows that vegetables are good for you and what makes you live a longer and healthier life. Just by having a variety of five different vegetables a day of different portions will instantly boost your life longevity. Each and every vegetable contains there own type of vitamin, for example the bright colored vegetables contain pro vitamins which the body then converts to vitamin A. Examples of some vegetables that contain vitamin A are: asparagus, pumpkin, carrots, peas, broccoli, cabbage. These are just a few of the many benefits vegetables provide humans with!

Perfect Proteins

Protein is a must in a healthy living lifestyle. You can receive protein from many different foods such as nuts and beans for those non-meat eaters, and meat for those who do eat meat. It is just very important to choose the right meats. Even though protein is very good for burning fat, too much of it actually can get stored as fat; yet again quantity is the way of keeping it healthy. Chicken breast actually has less fat than beef/veal and those meats, but that does not mean that you should not have beef, it just means that you must measure the amount of beef you eat and keep it in consideration. Fish is the most recommended meat to have. You can even split your week in parts, maybe have fish three times a week, twice a week chicken, and twice a week beef/veal.

Carbohydrates ARE Your Friends

We tend to think that completely cutting carbohydrates out of our lives is the way to a healthier lifestyle. That isn’t close to even true, because our body needs carbohydrates to function; it’s just the choice of choosing the RIGHT KIND of carbohydrates. You should always have a serving of carbohydrates in your meals, but always keep in mind that quantity is the key to a healthier living.

Hunger Isn't Always So Bad

It has been proven in laboratories that monkeys that live a little bit hungrier than the monkeys that live to eat the amounts of calories needed, actually live longer and are much more active. This research was based for humans but monkeys are the closest species that could relate to the human being, therefore it was proven that if a human being doesn’t fill up their stomach so much, they’re prone to live longer and have an active life.

An Active Teenager

The meals I am sharing are based for an active teenager. An 'active' teenager means, that this teenager has regular exercise almost everyday of the week. Following this meal plan and not exercising may lead you to gaining weight because it wasn’t designed for a teenager that doesn’t exercise.

Exercise is easy! You don't need a gym and it doesn't have to take long. Just take a 20 minute walk everyday, don't go in the car when you can just as easily walk, play a game with a member of your family, for example catch or kick a ball in the garden, or go for a swim and include a kind of exercise as part of your daily routine.

Easy! Believe me it will help!

Away From The Deadly Traps

The meals I plan on sharing are of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, for ten consecutive days. I don’t really like to call this a diet plan because it should be seen as a lifestyle that you should take in forever, and not just a temporary diet of the millions of diets you have tried in your lifetime. The key things to remember for a healthy lifestyle are to eat less to live longer, and have smaller meals more frequently. Just doing these two things will definitely improve your eating habits and metabolism. Losing weight helps you live longer and stay alive. If you are gaining weight as you grow up, you are more prone to having complications as you get older and maybe even be diagnosed with cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure, colon cancer, hormonal imbalances, and lastly, cardiovascular disease. Losing weight and eating healthy instantly drops the risk of you falling into these deadly traps by a million times.
